Colors: CMYK or grayscale.
If your document is a combination of both, please be sure the pages to print in grayscale are in fact grayscale. In the event they are not, you will be charged for full color.
Fonts: Fonts are a huge issue these days. There are too many of them and we canít possibly have them all installed on our machines. Adobe Type I or TrueType fonts may be used without worry on your end. However, for all other fonts you need to take extra steps to ensure your file prints properly.

Here are the options:

  • Include fonts when you export your file package
  • Embed fonts in your high-res PDF by exporting to PDF/X-1a
  • Convert fonts to outlines/paths in your design software
Document setup: Your artwork should be closely sized including bleed marks as needed. 1/16 trims and 1/8 bleeds may be taken by our enlargement without cutting into important content.
Quality: 300 dpi or better recommended. In most cases a 300 dpi image can be enlarged 50% before a noticeable decrease in image quality.

Orientation: Image enlargement - Portrait or Landscape orientation does matter. In some cases it is impossible to change orientation due to image quality constraints to fill the space. .

Files should be stuffed or zipped to prevent file corruption issues. Printer spreads save time and cost.
